This drug has been shown to decrease the rate of triglyceride lipase in adipose tissue and thereby reduce the production of fatty acids. 4-Phenylpiperazin-1-amine has antiarrhythmic activity, which means it prevents abnormal heart rhythms and can be used to treat cardiac arrhythmias. 4-Phenylpiperazin-1-amine also has myorelaxant properties, which means it relaxes muscle tissue.
