It also has an anti-inflammatory property and is used in cancer therapy. 2-Phenyloxazole binds to carboxy and phenoxy groups, which is important for its interaction with insulin receptors. 2-Phenyloxazole has been shown to be effective against cervical cancer and lymphocytic leukemia. It was also shown to have fluorescent properties, which may be useful in pharmaceutical preparations. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug are not well understood due to its low solubility in water.
