Descripción

Pteryxin is a natural compound that is extracted from a plant. It has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of melanin in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and also exhibits antioxidant activity. Pteryxin also binds to the mucin gene, which is involved in the development of skin tumors. This compound has been studied for its ability to prevent oxidative injury by inhibiting the formation of reactive oxygen species. The antioxidant properties of pteryxin have been studied by evaluating the effects on locomotor activity and skin tumor formation in mice. Pteryxin has also been shown to bind to coumarins, which are compounds found in plants that have an anti-inflammatory effect. Pteryxin is active against fatty acids and can be used as a sample preparation agent for liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis.
