It binds to the hydroxyl group of host cells, which leads to physiological effects such as increased blood pressure. This compound also has high resistance to h1 antagonists. The reaction solution of phosphorus pentasulphide with trifluoroacetic acid produces phosphoric acid, hydrogen sulphide and sulphur dioxide.
