Descripción:4-Piperidineethanol is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of DNA. It is also used as a solvent for other organic compounds and is a component of certain pesticides. 4-Piperidineethanol has been shown to enhance the cytotoxicity of anticancer drugs such as cisplatin and etoposide, while reducing their toxicity. It can be added to solutions at temperatures up to 56°C without decomposition or formation of byproducts. 4-Piperidineethanol binds to DNA and intercalates between the base pairs, which increases its solubility in water and enhances the binding affinity with DNA.
