Descripción:3-Pyrrolidineacetic acid (3PA) is a drug with a broad range of pharmacological properties. It is a type of dpp-IV inhibitor, which blocks the enzyme that degrades the hormone erythropoietin. 3PA has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects, and it may be used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases. 3PA also shows significant cytotoxicity against colorectal adenocarcinoma cells and has been shown to inhibit angiogenesis. The drug binds to metal ions and forms an asymmetric complex with them, which then reacts with an allyl halide to form a chiral product. 3PA has been found to bind to GABA receptors in the brain and may be used as an analgesic for cardiac problems. The drug's hydroxyl group is responsible for its acidity, but it can also form complexes with other molecules such as acids or bases due to its acidic nature.
