Descripción:
(S)-1-Phenylethylhydroxylamine (1) is a chiral amine that is synthesized from n-substituted 1,3-dipoles. This reagent has been used in the synthesis of vinyl acetate derivatives with a variety of substituents on the aromatic ring. The reaction can be carried out on a large scale and the potential for this reagent to epimerise is low. It also has a high yield, making it an attractive synthon for use in organic synthesis.
