Phenylmorpholine (PM) is a chemical compound that can be found in the crankcase of cars and the environment. It is also used as an intermediate for some pharmaceutical drugs. PM interacts with various proteins and has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on guanylate kinase, which plays a role in energy metabolism. The interaction energies between PM and its binding sites on different proteins were calculated by molecular docking simulations. The results show that this molecule has high affinity for binding to the protein substrate site, which may be due to its aromatic nature.
