Descripción:4-Phenyloxazole is the name given to a series of compounds that are isomers. These compounds are benzonitriles, which have two aromatic rings and one nitrile group. They can be protonated with ammonium formate to give the corresponding amide. The reaction time for this transformation is 5 minutes at room temperature. 4-Phenyloxazole has been shown to bind to cannabinoid receptors and act as an agonist, resulting in the release of dopamine in mice brains. It also has been shown to have analgesic effects and be an active natural product against cancer cells. This compound exists as two enantiomers: R and S. The chemical properties of these two isomers differ slightly, with the R form being more potent than the S form.
