PROPYL-D7 Alcohol is a nonionic surfactant that is used as an additive in cosmetics, detergents, and personal care products. It is synthesized from propylene glycol, which has been shown to be safe for use in cosmetic formulations. This alcohol can be used as a co-surfactant for the production of microemulsions. The average diameter of the droplets in these dispersions are less than 250 nm. Droplet size can be controlled by the addition of cosurfactants such as magnesium stearate or other additives.
