• Descripción: cis-2-Pentene is a low energy transfer agent that is used in the synthesis of fatty acids. It reacts with ethyl groups at temperatures between 40 and 130 degrees Celsius, but does not react with other functional groups. cis-2-Pentene has been shown to activate covid-19 pandemic and has also been shown to have photocatalytic activity when exposed to UV light. cis-2-Pentene is reactive and can be produced by reacting ethylbenzene with hydrogen in the presence of a cocatalyst, such as titanium tetrachloride. This reaction mechanism also produces ethylbenzene, which can be purified by passing it through a solid phase microextraction column before being passed through a chemical reactor for mass spectrometric detection.
