Descripción

Poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) is a synthetic polymer that exhibits photochemical properties. It is used in tissue culture as a sample preparation material and has been shown to be non-toxic to cells. Poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) is soluble in water, which makes it suitable for use as a drug carrier. Poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) has been synthesized from the reaction of dopamine with maleic anhydride and methyl vinyl ether, using either the acid or base method. The pyrimidine compound present in poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) is responsible for its phase transition temperature. This polymer has shown high values for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and can be synthesized from fatty acids. Toxicity studies have shown that poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) does not cause any metabolic disorders in rats.
