• Descripción: Propylene glycol dioleate is a non-ionic surfactant that is used as an absorption enhancer in topical formulations. It has been shown to have antimicrobial properties and can be used to treat infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi. Propylene glycol dioleate is also a reaction product of propylene glycol and oleic acid and can be used as the primary ingredient in the manufacturing of calcium stearate. This product has low water permeability, which allows it to work as an emulsifier and stabilizer for other ingredients. It also inhibits the activity of certain enzymes like picolinic acid carboxylase and fatty acid synthase, which are involved in the synthesis of fatty acids.
