Descripción:2-Propyn-1-yl cyclopentane is a naturally occurring terpene that has been isolated from the bark of the Acacia species. This compound has shown to have inhibitory effect on staphylococcus, which may be due to its ability to bind to the c–h bond in acetate extract. Gel permeation chromatography showed that 2-propyn-1-yl cyclopentane is composed of carbohydrates, tannins and primary amines.2-Propyn-1-yl cyclopentane also has a hydroxyl group, which can be used for hydrosilylation reactions with flavonoids and amines.
