The four isomers are pentaerythritol tetra-2-hexanoate (CAS# 3173-75-0), pentaerythritol tetra-3-hexanoate (CAS# 3173-76-1), pentaerythritol tetra-4-hexanoate (CAS# 3173-77-2), and pentaerythritol tetra-5-hexanoate (CAS# 3173-78-3). The molecular weight of each isomer differs between 198 and 202. Pentaerythritol tetrahexanoate has a high viscosity, which ranges from 1 to 2 mm2/s at 25 °C
