• Descripción: L-Phenylalanine methyl ester hydrochloride is an amino acid that has been shown to inhibit corrosion of metal surfaces by adsorption. It functions as a corrosion inhibitor by binding to the metal surface and converting the chloride ion to hydrogen chloride, which is less corrosive. L-Phenylalanine methyl ester hydrochloride also inhibits protein synthesis by inhibiting the activity of hepg2 cells. This chemical compound has been used in asymmetric syntheses, such as the synthesis of polypeptides and trifluoroacetic acid. The safety profile of L-phenylalanine methyl ester hydrochloride has not been fully studied.
