Pregnenolone is a naturally occurring steroid hormone that is present in humans. It has been shown to have anticancer properties, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells. Pregnenolone inhibits protein kinases and induces cell death by apoptosis. This hormone has also been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and induce the death of cancer cells in culture. Pregnenolone may be useful for the treatment of breast cancer, prostate cancer, and other cancers that are related to hormonal imbalances.
