1H-Pyrazole-1-carboxamidine hydrochloride is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme oleanolic acid cyclooxygenase. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Cryptococcus neoformans in vitro, and also inhibits the production of hydrogen peroxide by neutrophils. 1H-Pyrazole-1-carboxamidine hydrochloride is a white solid with minimal toxicity in mice and rats.
