Descripción:
3-(4-Pyridyl)indole is a chemical compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer stem cells. It inhibits the proliferation of mammalian cells and induces apoptosis in human retinal pigment epithelial cells. 3-(4-Pyridyl)indole can be used for the treatment of eye disorders such as age-related macular degeneration and ocular hypertension, although it has not yet been tested on humans. The effective dose of 3-(4-pyridyl)indole is still unknown, but preliminary studies suggest that it needs to be administered in a coordination chemistry formulation to be properly absorbed by mammalian cells.
