2-Phenylcyclohexanone is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of 4-methoxyphenylboronic acid compounds. The receptor activity of this compound has been shown to be mediated by an intramolecular hydrogen bridge with the hydroxyl group. 2-Phenylcyclohexanone is used in pharmaceutical preparations, such as methyl ethyl ketones, which are used for their anti-inflammatory properties. This compound also blocks chemokine receptors and fatty acid synthesis, which may be due to its steric interactions with the CCR5 receptor.
