This drug has been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines in cell cultures and to reduce the symptoms of experimental chronic arthritis in mice. 10H-Pyrido[3,2-b][1,4]benzothiazine also possesses antihistaminergic and anticholinergic properties that make it useful as a pharmaceutical preparation for urticaria and other allergic reactions.
