Descripción:Propargite is a pesticide that belongs to the group of synergists. It has a synergistic effect with other pesticides, such as DDT and chlordane. Sublethal doses have been shown to have a synergic effect on the chemical response in receptor activity studies in mice. Propargite also has a disulfide bond which is necessary for its stability and function. The sample preparation for propargite is extraction with glycol ethers, which can be measured using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Propargite has been shown to cause genotoxic effects such as DNA strand breaks and chromosomal aberrations in mammalian cells at high concentrations.
