Piperonyl acetone has been shown to be a good deodorizer, with a target pest of insects. This agent also has a high boiling point and can be used as an organic solvent in analytical toxicology. Piperonyl acetone is metabolized into piperonal and ethanol extracts when it is administered orally or intravenously. Piperonyl acetone may interact with certain drugs; therefore, it should be taken with caution if you are taking other medications.
