It has an isotherm curve with a sharp inflection point at the origin, indicating that it is a strong dehydrating agent. Diameter of the solute also increases as the reaction time increases. The molecule is an amide and reacts with acrylonitrile and chloride to form an amide bond, which can be hydrolyzed by hydrochloric acid. N-Phenylglycine potassium salt forms clots when mixed with phosphate ions and adsorbs onto hydroxyapatite surfaces.
