1H-Pyrazole-4-boronic acid is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C6H5N2O2. It has a bifunctional nature, meaning it is both an amide and an aryl halide. 1H-Pyrazole-4-boronic acid has been shown to inhibit the protein s6 in cancer cells, which may be due to its ability to bind with the hydroxyl group on the side chain of the protein. This binding prevents phosphorylation of serine residues and thus inhibits tumor growth. It also inhibits other proteins that are necessary for cell division and replication, such as cyclin D1, DNA polymerase β, and topoisomerase II. 1H-Pyrazole-4-boronic acid is most commonly used in asymmetric synthesis because it can be synthesized through cross coupling reactions.
