H-p-Phenyl-D-Phenylalanine (HPPPA) is an organic compound that belongs to the class of inorganic anticoagulant drugs. The conformational analysis of HPPPA reveals a chiral center at the phenyl ring and two chiral centers at the amino acid residues. HPPPA has been shown to inhibit coagulation and hydrolyze inorganic compounds with acid, such as hydrochloric acid. This drug also has a high yield and is a racemase, meaning it can be used for optical resolution of optically active compounds.
