It also inhibits the replication of influenza virus in vivo. 4-Phenylbenzylamine has antiviral properties and can be used for antiviral therapy targeting the influenza virus. This drug also acts as a receptor antagonist on the sigma subtype, which may contribute to its antiviral activity.
