(4S,4'S)-2,2'-(Pentane-3,3'-diyl)bis(4-benzyl-4,5-dihydrooxazole) is a chiral compound that exhibits a high degree of stereogenic character. It is an organometallic compound with a pentane backbone and benzyl substituents. The compound has been used as an intermediate for the synthesis of polymers. The compound can be polymerized to form linear polymers or crosslinked to form gels. The compound is soluble in tetrahydrofuran and insoluble in water at room temperature.
