Descripción:Phenoxydiphenylphosphine is a chiral compound that can reversibly oxidize protonated substrates. It is a synthetic electrochemical probe for oxygen nucleophiles that has been studied extensively. Phenoxydiphenylphosphine is an azide-containing phosphine, which isomerizes to the corresponding tetrahydrothiophene upon exposure to air. This reaction has been shown to be irreversible and kinetically slow. The structural analysis of phenoxydiphenylphosphine has been conducted using X-ray crystallography and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, which yielded the molecular formula C8H6P2N2O2.
