Phensuximide is a drug used to treat epilepsy and other conditions. It is an anticonvulsant and anti-inflammatory that works by stabilizing nerve cell membranes, which reduces the amount of neurotransmitters released. Phensuximide also has been shown to be effective in treating infections, metabolic disorders, and autoimmune diseases. Pharmacological treatment with phensuximide may be associated with a number of adverse effects, including drug interactions and dose groups. The analytical method for this drug is not standardized and can vary from one lab to another.
