Descripción:
Periglaucine B is a synthetic alkaloid that binds to the opioid receptor, but with a different binding affinity than most opioids. It has been shown to be an efficacious analgesic in chronic pain patients. The molecule contains both spatial and oxidative stereocenters, which are responsible for its medicinal properties and can cause healthcare issues if administered incorrectly. Periglaucine B also has two enantiomers, which have different pharmacological effects.
