Descripción:4-Phenoxybenzophenone is a synthetic product with a sulfonation reaction mechanism. It is synthesized from benzoyl chloride and diphenyl ether in the presence of zirconium. 4-Phenoxybenzophenone has a protonated aromatic ring, which allows for its use as an organic semiconductor. The fluoroaromatic group is also present in this compound, which makes it highly sensitive to ultrafast laser pulses. This product can be used to produce mesoporous silica materials that have been shown to have excellent optical properties. The chloride group is capable of reacting with hydrochloric acid to form chlorine gas and water.
