Descripción

Poricoic acid AM is a compound that is found in the extracts of Astragalus membranaceus, Poria cocos, and Schizandra chinensis. It has been shown to have antioxidant activity. Poricoic acid AM has been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reduce lipid peroxidation. It also inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is an enzyme that converts arachidonic acid into prostaglandins, thereby alleviating inflammation. Poricoic acid AM also has anti-cancer properties and has been shown to inhibit tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) production by macrophages.
