Descripción:
Pentafluorophenylacetic acid is an alkylthio compound that is used as an antimicrobial agent. It has a viscosity of 0.3-0.5 mm2/s and a boiling point of 191°C. Pentafluorophenylacetic acid has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi, and yeast. The most important biological property of this compound is its ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria by inhibiting their respiration processes, which leads to cell death.
