Pinostilbene also prevents neuronal death by maintaining the mitochondrial membrane potential. Pinostilbene has been shown to reduce alcohol intake in mice. In addition, pinostilbene has been shown to be effective in the treatment of eye disorders such as retinitis pigmentosa.
