Descripción:Perfluoro-2-methylbutane is a pharmaceutical dosage form of a perfluorinated liquid. It is used in clinical practice for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, or other respiratory disorders. This drug is also used as an inhalation agent in the treatment of adults with acute bronchitis, emphysema, or other airway obstruction. Perfluoro-2-methylbutane has shown resistance to bacteria that are resistant to natural and synthetic polymers. The diameter of Perfluoro-2-methylbutane particles is between 2 and 10 micrometers and it has a viscosity of about 5 centipoise. It has been shown that the reaction time for this drug can be reduced by adding hexamer, which acts as a surfactant for the gas phase.
