Pyridoxal 3-Fluorobenzoyl Hydrazone is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of hydrazides. It is an enteric, nucleophilic and acid-uncomplexed compound, which reacts with metal ions to form a complex. Pyridoxal 3-Fluorobenzoyl Hydrazone has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against mycobacterial cells and has been used in the treatment of tuberculosis. The drug also inhibits bacterial growth by reacting with the mycobacterial cell wall, thereby preventing the synthesis of lipids and proteins necessary for bacterial growth.
