4,4'-[1,4-Phenylenebis(oxy)]bis[3-(trifluoromethyl)aniline] (PTAA) is a water soluble and reactive compound that has been shown to have high solubility in both water and organic solvents. PTAA has an alicyclic chemical structure with a flexible carbon backbone. PTAA is also a thermally stable compound with high viscosity at elevated temperatures. It can be used as an additive for paint or adhesives to improve their flexibility, especially at higher temperatures.
