Pentafluorophenyl N-[(9H-fluoren-9-ylmethoxy)carbonyl]-L-norleucinate is a glycopeptide that is used in the analysis of porcine and human mucins. It has shown to be effective against intestinal bacteria and can be used for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. Pentafluorophenyl N-[(9H-fluoren-9-ylmethoxy)carbonyl]-L-norleucinate is also used as an intermediate in solid phase synthesis, as well as in the synthesis of other glycopeptides such as pentafluorophenyl N-[2-(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoylamino)ethyl] L-norleucinate.
