Descripción:Quipazine maleate is a dopamine agonist that is used in the diagnosis and treatment of bowel disease. It has been shown to have a beneficial effect in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, locomotor activity, and other conditions. Quipazine maleate binds to D2-type dopamine receptors in the central nervous system to increase levels of dopamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT). The drug also inhibits pain by blocking impulses from sensory nerves. Quipazine maleate is not active against cancer cells but may be useful as an adjuvant therapy for bone cancer or inflammatory bowel disease.
