Descripción:Rotigaptide is a synthetic peptide that has been shown to inhibit the activity of the cell factor, which is responsible for regulating the heart. This drug may be used in the treatment of congestive heart failure, as well as other cardiac disorders such as atrial and myocardial infarcts. Rotigaptide has been found to have pharmacological properties that are similar to those of angiotensin II or angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. The drug also exhibits anti-platelet activity and may be useful in treating structural heart disease.
