• Descripción: Rac benzphetamine hydrochloride is a repurposed drug that has been shown to have the ability to modulate the activity of various receptors, including the dopamine receptor. Rac benzphetamine hydrochloride is a layered molecule with two stereogenic centers and three chiral centers. It has been shown to have hydroxylase activity, which is catalyzed by the enzyme aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase. Rac benzphetamine hydrochloride also has potential as an anti-inflammatory agent because it inhibits myelination in mice. Rac benzphetamine hydrochloride was found to be carcinogenic in animal studies, but not in human trials. The drug can be given intravenously or intraperitoneally, depending on the desired effect.
