Descripción:Rac-mono(ethylhexyl) phthalate is a phthalate that is used as an ester plasticizer in polyvinyl chloride. This product has been shown to cause oxidative injury, toxicity, and cell death in vitro. The effects of this product on the mouse testis have also been studied. Rac-mono(ethylhexyl) phthalate has been shown to decrease energy metabolism and polymerase chain activity, which may lead to tumorigenesis. This product also has a toxic effect on mouse cells at low doses. Rac-mono(ethylhexyl) phthalate binds to the response element, which is responsible for regulating gene expression.
