Ruthenium(III) acetylacetonate is an oxidation catalyst that has a chemical formula of RuO2(CO3)2. It is soluble in organic solvents, but insoluble in water. Ruthenium acetylacetonate has been shown to be functional as an electrochemical catalyst for the oxidation of chloride ions in solution. The kinetic data for this reaction are given in Table 1 below.
