• Descripción: Flupyrsulfuron-methyl sodium is a sulfonylurea herbicide that inhibits plant growth by inhibiting the synthesis of chlorophyll. It is used in agriculture to control broadleaf weeds and grasses. Flupyrsulfuron-methyl sodium is applied to soil as a liquid, paste, or granule formulation and then taken up by plants through their roots. The uptake of flupyrsulfuron-methyl sodium depends on the presence of other compounds in the soil solution like chlorine, fluorine, and pyridine. Research has shown that flupyrsulfuron-methyl sodium can be used in combination with tribenuron-methyl as a synergistic weed control agent. It also has been shown to inhibit the uptake of methoxyphenyl from soil solutions into plants. Flupyrsulfuron-methyl sodium can also be extracted from soil samples using techniques such as extraction with carboxylate or solvent extraction techniques.
