Descripción:Suc-Ala-Pro-Ala-AMC is a synthetic peptide that is used as a fluorescent substrate to measure the activity of serine proteases. It is used in plant physiology and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. Suc-Ala-Pro-Ala-AMC is an acidic molecule with a pKa of 3.1. This means it can exist as both a zwitterion, with a positive charge on one end and negative charge on the other, or as an ionized molecule with both ends having a negative charge. The zwitterionic form is more stable than the ionized form at low pH levels and will therefore be present at higher concentrations at lower pH values.
