Descripción:Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Met-pNA is a proteolytic enzyme that is active at acidic pH and cleaves casein to produce smaller peptides. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in animal models of inflammatory diseases by inhibiting the production of vasoactive intestinal peptide and other inflammatory mediators. Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Met-pNA also has a high salt tolerance and can survive in the presence of chloromethyl ketone, which is used as a chemical tool for protein sequencing. The enzyme produces dodecyl as its cleavage product, which can be used to determine the optimal reaction conditions for this enzyme.
