Descripción

Sulbenicillin is an antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to penicillin-binding proteins in the bacterial cell wall. It has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against human lymphocytes in vitro, and can be used for the treatment of urinary infections caused by Gram-positive species. Sulbenicillin is not active against Gram-negative bacteria or antibiotic-resistant strains such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
