Descripción:N,N'-Sulfonyldiimidazole (SDI) is a sulfonamide that is used in the synthesis of various organic compounds. SDI can be prepared by reacting aniline with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate and then hydrolyzing the resulting product with ammonia. The chloride ion present in the reaction mixture facilitates this hydrolysis. SDI has been shown to inhibit the growth of phytosphingosine-sensitive resistant cells and may have potential for use as a therapeutic agent against cancer.
