Descripción

Sulfaguanol is a drug that belongs to the group of sulfa drugs. It is an analog of sulfapyridine and has been used as an ophthalmic drug for the treatment of choroidal neovascularization, but also as a bowel disease drug. Sulfaguanol has been used in diabetic patients with inflammatory bowel disease and to treat symptoms such as skin rash, headache, fever, malaise, or photosensitivity. This drug has linear calibration curve and hydroxyl group. It is metabolized by liver enzymes into a molecule that binds to biological properties.
